SHOM Yoga and Wellbeing is about reviving, restoring and nourishing, so that we live the life we want to live and continue to find the very best in ourselves.

Through our practice and knowledge of yoga, we can be positively influenced in the way we live our lives; the way we see things and the way we impact society. Yoga leads us to find balance between mind and body, human and nature so wherever we may be in our lives or practice, yoga can lead us to personal growth and therefore a purposeful and meaningful life. We share the Sattva Integrated teachings - a holistic and deeply transformative ever evolving practice, rooted in the Vedantic and Tantric traditions of the Himalayas.

Through our wellbeing we can regularly monitor ‘how we are doing’ as individuals and a community.

If you are experiencing a stressful life contributed by things such as low moods, lack of mojo, menopause, low self-esteem and trauma then we hope to be your sanctuary, giving you the wings for the extra lift out of the unconscious mind - also known as the ego mind which is often responsible for allowing insecurity, fear and anxiety to take hold - and focusing on the conscious mind so we are able to sustain our wellbeing, the state of being comfortable, healthy and happy.

SHOM Yoga

Yoga means union, and so our yoga practices are about  opening the mind and heart to the sheer brilliance of life. Through Pranayama (breath), Hatha Asana Vinyassa (postures), Meditation (wisdom that arises in stillness), Kriya (energetic body), mantras (chants) and mudras (hand gestures) it is possible to shift and master energy, enliven all energetic levels of the body and reconnect with our true selves.

Following the Sattva Integrated Practice, yoga allows us to ask ‘What life am I interested in living?’ Because of the  deeply transformative aspects of the teachings, the Sattva ancient and modern practices go well beyond the yoga mat and includes and infuses all areas and aspects of life. Through the ethos of WHOLE self , COMPLETE self, TRUTH self and BALANCE self we are able to master ourselves, master our lives and guide others to do the same.

“The ocean has a unique expression. The deeper the ocean the stronger the waves. The deeper practice and understanding, the stronger the person is rooted. Energy and intelligence are inseparable” - Anand Mehrotra

SHOM aims to improve wellbeing by providing you with a tool kit which embraces compassionate curiosity and leads to the best version of YOU.

Practices such as wisdom talks, reflection and journaling will encourage growth and offer an insight into things you may never have tried or even considered. Linking up with incredible nutritionists, health and wellness experts we aim to nourish the skin you live in.

Everything is possible. Where the attention goes, the energy flows. Discover the wisdom that arises in stillness and movement.
